TP-LINK Archer C3150 bridge setting that cannot be connected to the Internet just by connecting

There are many wireless routers out there now, but this time it is a TP-Link wireless router. I would like to introduce this wireless router because it was a wireless router that could not be connected to WI-FI if it was purchased and connected immediately.

Archer C3150

If the wireless router of another company has a router function on the top, it has a function called bridge mode (access point = just skip the radio wave). This has a switch on the main body side of the wireless router and can be easily changed.

This switch changes depending on the Internet environment. If there is a router above the wireless and you are already connected to the Internet, the wireless router side will change to bridge mode.

Also, if there is an ONU or CATV modem on the upper side, change the wireless side to router mode. If there is a router function on the upper level, you need to log in to the wireless router once and change the settings.

設置方法

After installing the wireless router, connect the LAN port on the upper router side and the WAN port on the C3150 side with the attached LAN cable.

(1) Make a WI-FI connection to the AP (access point) once with your smartphone or PC. Of course, the internet is not connected.

② Enter 192.168.0.1 in the URL of the web screen

③ Create your own password when logging in for the first time.
In this case, there are two input fields, "Password" and "Confirm Password", so enter the same one here. From the next time onward, you will be able to log in to the management screen of the wireless router using only this password.

④ On the management screen, detailed settings ⇒ bridge mode ⇒ save

⑤ If you restart without permission and connect to WI-FI again, you will be connected to the Internet.
